FIRE FIGHTING

INSTRUCTIONS: Keep run-off water out of sewers and watercourses. Dikes for water control. If water pollution occurs notify appropriate authorities. Use water SPRAY only to cool containers! Do not put water on leaked material. Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (pressure demand, MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Highest vapor levels occur typically during printer cleaning operations. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapor and spray mist. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in areas of storage and use. Containers of this product may be hazardous when emptied. Since emptied containers retain product residues (vapors, liquids, solids), all hazard precautions mentioned in this data sheet must be observed when handling emptied containers.

 

STORAGE PRESSURE: Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from incompatible materials (see section 10) and in tightly closed containers. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

There is no data available on the product itself. Exposure to organic solvent vapors may result in adverse health effects such as irritation of the mucous membrane and the respiratory system and adverse effects on the renal and central nervous systems. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, fatigue, muscular weakness, drowsiness and in extreme cases, loss of consciousness. Repeated or prolonged contact with the product may lead to removal of natural fats from the skin resulting in non-allergenic contact dermatitis and absorption through the skin. Splashes in the eyes may cause irritation and reversible local damage.
