POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

INHALATION: High vapor concentrations are irritating to the eyes and the respiratory tract and may cause headache and dizziness. Can cause central nervous depression and unconsciousness. Low order of toxicity.

EYE CONTACT: Severely irritating. If not removed promptly, will injure eye tissue, which may result in permanent damage. High vapor
concentrations may cause irritation.

SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged or repeated contact can result in defatting and drying of the skin which may result in skin irritation and dermatitis. Low order of toxicity.

INGESTION: Harmful if swallowed. Can cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system depression, leading to diarrhea,
nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness and unconsciousness. Small amounts aspirated into the respiratory tract during swallowing or vomiting
may cause severe and delayed
CHRONIC: Chronic overexposure to components of this product have been found to have the following effects on laboratory animals: Liver
abnormalities, damage to the kidneys, lungs, brain, eyes, spleen and central nervous system. Overexposure of humans to components of this product have been suggested as the cause of following effects: kidney, eye damage, and liver abnormalities.

SECTION 4 FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION: Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Perform artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get immediate medical attention.
EYE CONTACT: Hold eyelids apart and flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT: Promptly wash contaminated skins with soap or mild detergent and water. Remove clothing if soaked and wash as above. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
INGESTION: NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUID! Promptly let affected person drink lots of water to dilute the swallowed chemical. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

GENERAL HAZARD: May explode when heated or when exposed to flames or sparks. Solvent vapors may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapors may travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back. In a fire, hazardous decomposition products such as smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen, and possibly toxic hydrocarbons may be formed.
FIRE FIGHTING
INSTRUCTIONS: Keep run-off water out of sewers and watercourses. Dikes for water control. If water pollution occurs notify appropriate authorities. Use water SPRAY only to cool containers! Do not put water on leaked material. Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (pressure demand, MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

EQUIPMENT: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (pressure demand, MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear. "Alcohol foam", carbon dioxide, (CO2, dry chemicals, sand, water spray, fog or mist).

SECTION 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

LAND SPILL: Extinguish all sources of ignition. Avoid sparks, flames, heat and smoking. Provide ventilation and confine spill. Do not allow run off to drains. Clean-up personnel should use respiratory and/or liquid contact protection. Wash thoroughly after dealing with spill.

WATER SPILL: Absorb liquid on paper towel or other dry material and transfer to an extractor hood. Let vapors evaporate. Dispose as flammable waste. Confine spillage and absorb with dry, non-combustible, absorbent materials and sweep up into suitable sealable container for disposal. Prevent the spillage from entering drains, as potential explosion hazard will be created. If entry occurs inform local authorities, particularly the Fire Service.

SECTION 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE

STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Vapors are heavier than air and may spread along floors to form explosive mixtures with air. Ventilate well to prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapor in air and to avoid vapor concentrations higher than the permissible exposure limits. Highest vapor levels occur typically during printer cleaning operations. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapor and spray mist. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in areas of storage and use. Good housekeeping standards and regular safe removal of waste materials will minimize risks of spontaneous combustion and other fire risks. As dried ink is highly flammable, do not allow it to accumulate on, or around, the printer. Containers of this product may be hazardous when emptied. Since emptied containers retain product residues (vapors, liquids, and solids), all hazard precautions mentioned in this data sheet must be observed when handling emptied containers.

STORAGE PRESSURE: FLAMMABLE LIQUID! Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from incompatible materials (see section 10) and in tightly closed containers. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, sources of ignition and a build up of static electricity. The storage and use of highly flammable liquid is subject to regulation; consult your company safety officer or your local authority for guidance.

SECTION 11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
There is no data available on the product itself. Exposure to organic solvent vapors may result in adverse health effects such as irritation of the mucous membrane and the respiratory system and adverse effects on the renal and central nervous systems. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, fatigue, muscular weakness, drowsiness and in extreme cases, loss of consciousness. Repeated or prolonged contact with the product may lead to removal of natural fats from the skin resulting in non-allergenic contact dermatitis and absorption through the skin. Splashes in the eyes may cause irritation and reversible local damage.
